Privacy Policy

Gravity is a workout log for iPhone. It is built so that your training data stays yours: Gravity does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party code in the app.
Where your data lives
- On your iPhone. Everything you enter (workouts, templates, exercises, body weight, settings) is stored in a database on your device. The developer has no server and never receives it.
- In your iCloud Drive, if you use iCloud backup. When iCloud backup is on (Settings → Back Up & Restore), Gravity saves a copy of your data to your own iCloud Drive, in a "Gravity" folder you can see in the Files app. That copy is stored by Apple under your Apple Account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer cannot access it. You can turn iCloud backup off at any time and delete the folder from Files.
- In files you export. "Back Up Now" creates a backup file and hands it to the iOS share sheet; where it goes from there (Files, AirDrop, email) is up to you.
Apple Health
If you turn on "Save to Apple Health", Gravity writes each finished workout (name, time, duration, and total volume) to Apple Health. Gravity only writes to Health: it never reads your health data. Health data is never used for advertising and never leaves your device through Gravity. You can revoke access in the Health app at any time.
Importing from other apps
When you import a CSV export from another workout app, the file is read on your device and its contents are added to your local database. Nothing is uploaded.
Notifications and Live Activities
The rest-timer alert and the Lock Screen / Dynamic Island workout timer are generated on your device. Gravity does not use push notifications and has no server to send them from.
Crash reports
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings (Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may provide the developer with anonymous crash reports. These are collected by Apple, not by Gravity, and contain no workout data.
Children
Gravity is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date above. Because Gravity collects nothing, any change that started collecting data would also require an app update and would be described in it.
